July 2024 - Liberton Hospital, Edinburgh
We are delighted to be appointed again to prepare a Transportation Assessment for the revised proposals for the redevelopment of the former Liberton Hospital in Edinburgh, on behalf of the City of Edinburgh Council. The development includes the former hospital grounds and the former Scottish Blood Transfusion Centre to the rear.
The proposal is for residential development including a significant proportion of affordable homes.

July 2024 - Lingerwood, Midlothian
We are delighted to be delighted to continue our involvement in the development of around 900 homes at Lingerwood, near Newtongrange and Mayfield in Midlothian, for Springfield
Properties. ACTT prepared the original Transportation Assessment in 2021, towards Planning Permission in Principle, and are now providing further advice and assessment for
applications for reserved matters subject to conditions, for the first phases.
The proposal is allocated in the Local Development Plan, and is the latest of a number of projects that ACTT have carried out for Springfield Properties in recent years.

May 2024 - Lesliepark, near Denny
This is an example of the kind of minor access issue that can result in a relatively simple development being refused planning consent. ACTT were acting for George Russell Construction, on the latest of a number of projects. They proposed an extended storage area for materials at their base at Denny, using an existing access, and prepared a Transport Statement showing that the proposal would add only a few (if any) vehicle movements per day. The Council proposed refusal because current standards for visibility splays were not met at the existing access junction, even with some clearance of the existing verge.
We carried out detailed measurements of the horizontal and vertical road alignment, and demonstrated that those visibility standards could in fact be met, resulting in removal of that particular objection.
